Report from the Craigroyston

A superb long range effort from Kyle Boggie completed his hat trick and gave Craigroyston a second successive draw but they had to come from behind after letting slip a two goal half time lead.

The home side had the first shot on goal but Kieran Beveridge saved comfortably from Steven Slimmings before Dale Pennycuick found Jason Young for Craigroyston who did well to create space but his shot didn't trouble Mark Rowbotham in the home goal.

Rosyth had the better of possession but rarely threatened the visitors goal, and fell behind when Ross Nisbet found Young out wide, and despite home claims for offside his perfect cross found Boggie who controlled the ball before clipping the ball over Rowbotham.

The home reply was almost instant when Ryan O'Connor found Thomas Hampson but Beveridge did well to touch his effort onto the crossbar before the rebound went wide.

Craigroyston went two up when after clearing a Rosyth free kick they broke quickly, and Boggie chased a pass back before winnng a challenge with the keeper before rolling the ball into an empty net.

Slimmings clipped the frame of the goal as a stunned home side looked to get into the match but the half ended with Jack Verth shooting just wide as Craigroyston looked for a third before the half ended with Slimmings forcing a good save from Beveridge.

Boggie almost completed his hat trick shortly after the break but could not quite reach another Young cross but Rosyth started their comeback when Hampson reached the byeline, and when his low cross wasn't cleared Slimmings sent a composed finish into the goal, and they levelled a couple of minutes later when a corner was cleared O'Connor found Scott Morrison in space, and he shot past Beveridge at his near post.

Morrison then sent a low cross across the face of the visitors goal with no teammates on hand but Rosyth took the lead when subs Daryl Healy and Scott Russell combined and the latters low cross was touched in by Hampson at the far post.

Hampson was then sent clear on goal but Beveridge did well to save, and keep his side in the match, and he was rewarded minutes later when good persistence by Boggie and sub Craig Sutherland ended with Boggie sending a shot from long range high past Rowbotham.

Both sides pressed for a winner, and Craigroyston almost got it in injury time when Young shot was just off target as both sides had to settle for a point.
