Fauldhouse welcomed defending Champions Bo'ness United to Parkview today in blustry conditions, hoping for a favourable result after last weeks defeat. Quarter of an hour on the clock saw Robertson for the House shoot wide of Peat in goal. A great chance fell to Donnelly on 18 mniutes but the Fauldhouse midfielder shot agonisingly by. First to show for the away side was Sloan from a direct free kick but the Fauldhouse wall did their job and the danger was cleared. Next up Anderson for Bo'ness went close when Philip headed over as the visitors were beginning to get into the game and cause Fauldhouse some problems. Ten minutes before half time Gribben was inches away from another direct free kick, much to the relief of the Fauldhouse defence. With four minutes to go to the break centre McQuillan bearing in on goal hit his shot high over the bar with the goal gaping another half chance for the home side gone. Half time, Fauldhouse United 0 Boness United 0.

An entertaining game for all it was scoreless with several chances missed by both teams as the game got under way in the second half. A short pass back had Brian Ross nipping in to take advantage and only a last ditch challenge from Peat in the Boness goal prevented a calamity. McQuillan was replaced by Wilkins with twenty minutes to go, the big forward having put in a tireless shift for a well earned rest. The last piece of action in a goalscoring sense saw Fauldhouse keeper Murphy saving point blank on the eighty minute mark in what would have been a cruel blow had Bo'ness snatched it late on and it finished... Fauldhouse United 0 Boness United 0.

A great point for the House in an end to end nil nil draw, honours even both side can't complain.
